This position can be fully remote or office based in Uxbridge (if preferred), however, you will need to be based in the UK or willing to relocate to the UK.

The role

We’re looking for a security focused, hands-on Software and Product Engineer to lead and take responsibility for the security function across all areas of development, including cloud deployments.  This includes managing the PSIRT team and helping define and maintain the SSDL in line with ISO27001 goals.

Managing, mentoring and growing a team of dedicated Software and Product Security Engineers, you’ll be hands-on with the development teams, helping guide threat modelling of new features and security testing.  When problems are found, you will drive existing processes (or develop new ones) to avoid similar issues occurring.

Candidate profile

• Broad domain knowledge in software and cloud security, practical software development experience and experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer

• Educated to at least degree level with good academic results

• Familiarity with common security problems found in software development (OWASP Top Ten)

• An understanding of how data is protected at rest and in transit including TLS, PKI, encryption, key management, identity management and RBAC

• Experience writing threat models and keeping them up to date when projects change

• Dealing with vulnerabilities, suggesting fixes and identifying process failures

Desirable experience

• Comptia Security+ / CISSP or equivalent

• Kubernetes, Google Cloud or GKE

• Hardware security and trusted computing

• Technical Writing / Public Communication

• Golang and Linux
