With over 20 years of video collaboration experience, together with previous start-up success, they begin their stealth phase of development and are hiring their next wave of founding R&D engineers.

The role
We’re looking for someone experienced in running cloud services to form a centre of excellence around all cloud operations. As part of a dynamic new start-up you will be happy to get stuck into a range of cloud operations and engineering problems. Security and networking expertise are essential, as is a desire for automation and CI/CD principles. Typical day to day activities will include:
· Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform
· Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
· Troubleshooting issues with R&D services
· Review infrastructure changes maintaining a strong engineering culture
· Work closely with the software engineering team to ensure delivery of a high-quality service
· Researching new technologies
· Perform out-of-hour changes where needed and be part of an on-call rota
Candidate profile
· Bachelors, Masters or PhD in a relevant technical subject
· Strong academic record throughout university and secondary education
· A critical and logical thinker with a desire to learn new technologies
· Proficient in building and scaling Kubernetes clusters
· Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
· Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
· A strong understanding of networking concepts (IP, TCP, TLS, DNS, VPNs)
· Familiar with Git and GitHub or GitLab
· Comfortable in a Linux environment using Docker and writing scripts for automation, with experience of Bash, Python or Go programming
